The States of Jersey Chief Minister's Department recently commissioned a review of innovation in Jersey. The review is being led by Tera Allas, who is a recognised expert in innovation policy and who recently led an influential review of the UK's science and innovation system. The 2015 Strategic Plan recognises that if the Island is to flourish we need people who will deliver enterprise and innovation, increased productivity, economic growth and a better future for Jersey. In recognition of the importance of business and innovation, the review has been asked to consider the following question:

In recognition of the importance of business and innovation, the review has been asked to consider the following question:
"What priority policies should the States of Jersey put in place to accelerate innovation,
and hence productivity growth, in the medium- to long-term?"

The review approach will combine desk research, expert and stakeholder interviews, a bespoke Jersey Innovation Survey, and data analysis to summarise Jersey's innovation strengths and weaknesses and to propose possible improvements. The review will be published in early September 2015.
